Verse of the Day
A verse from an earlier day, with its reflection and prayer.
Mercy in the heavens
“Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.”
Today's insight
When you look up at the vast expanse of the sky, remember that God's love for you is even greater. The psalmist writes that "Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds." Human promises often fail, but God’s steadfast care stretches beyond the highest horizon you can see. Whatever challenges you face today, His mercy is too vast to ever run out.
Reflect
Where in your life today do you need to stop relying on fragile human strength and rest beneath God's boundless faithfulness?
Prayer
O LORD, thank You that Your mercy fills the heavens and watches over my life today. When my heart feels uncertain, remind me that Your faithfulness reaches far beyond the clouds. Help me to rest completely in Your unending love. Amen.
