Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of Lampfold — the website and the Android and iOS apps — operated by CiteDash Inc, 1111B S Governors Ave, STE 54769, Dover, DE 19904, United States (“we”, “us”). By using Lampfold you agree to them.

1. What Lampfold is

Lampfold is a Bible-study and sermon-preparation tool that uses artificial intelligence to generate explanations, commentary, sermon material, and related study aids, grounded in the public-domain Bible translations it bundles. It is a study companion: it does not replace your Bible, and every answer should be weighed against Scripture itself.

2. Not professional, pastoral, medical, or legal advice

Lampfold does not replace your pastor, a qualified counselor, a physician, a mental-health professional, or any emergency service. Nothing it produces is professional advice. If you are in crisis or danger, contact a trained person or your local emergency number immediately.

3. AI can be wrong

AI-generated content may contain errors, misquotations, or interpretations that faithful Christians dispute. Lampfold includes safeguards that check Scripture references against the bundled text, but you remain responsible for weighing every answer against Scripture itself and sound teaching. Do not present AI output as authoritative without verifying it.

4. Acceptable use

Use Lampfold for personal study, teaching, and ministry. Do not abuse the service (for example, automated scraping, attempts to overload it, or using it to generate harmful, deceptive, or unlawful content). When you share verses, image cards or AI-written text, you are responsible for what you share: AI-written text is labeled as such, so please don't present it as Scripture or as the words of a teacher.

5. Accounts and the free allowance

You can use Lampfold without an account; guests get a small number of free AI requests each day. Creating a free account unlocks more and syncs your work across devices. By creating an account you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy, including the anonymous usage counts described there. Keep your sign-in details safe — you are responsible for activity on your account. You must be at least 13 to create an account.

6. Subscriptions

Premium subscriptions (weekly, monthly or yearly) are billed through Stripe on the website, Google Play on Android, or the App Store on iOS, and renew automatically until you cancel. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial (one free trial per account); you are charged when it ends unless you cancel before then. Cancel any time in the store or billing settings you subscribed through; access continues until the end of the paid period. Refunds follow the rules of the store you paid through. Prices are shown before you buy. Website payments are processed by Stripe and appear on your statement as CiteDash Inc.

7. Invite friends and free months

You can share a personal invite link and earn free months of Premium. The current rules are:

Friends earn you points: a friend who joins through your link, confirms their email and uses Lampfold on two different days within 14 days = 1 point; a friend on a weekly plan = 2.5 points; a friend on a monthly or yearly plan = 10 points (counted once their first payment has gone through; free trials don't count). Each friend counts once, at their highest value.
Points from a friend's payment are removed if that payment is refunded. Free months already awarded are kept; if those points were already used, new points first make up the difference.
50 points = 1 free month of Premium, up to 6 free months in any 12 months.
Free months are only awarded while you are on the free plan. If you have a paid plan, your points are kept and a month is awarded when you're back on the free plan.
Earned months are saved to your account and start when you need Premium, one after another.
Friends can be credited when they join through your link on the website, or in the app: on Android the code is passed on through Google Play when they install, and on any phone they can enter your invite code when they sign up. Each friend can only be credited once.
Free months have no cash value and can't be transferred, sold or exchanged. Points and months gained through fake or duplicate accounts, or other abuse, may be withdrawn, and the account involved may be suspended.
We may change or end the invite program at any time; free months already earned will be honored.

8. Your content

What you create (sermons, notes, highlights, saved studies) is yours. You give us permission to store, sync and process it only to run the service for you. You can delete it, or your whole account, at any time — see deleting your account.

9. Our content and copyright

The Bible texts Lampfold bundles are public-domain or used with permission. The app itself — its design, code, written guides and journeys — belongs to CiteDash Inc and may not be copied or resold. If you believe something in Lampfold infringes your copyright, email support@citedash.ai with the work, where it appears, and your contact details, and we will review it promptly.

10. Suspension and termination

We may limit or suspend access for abuse of the service or breach of these terms. You can stop using Lampfold and delete your account at any time.

11. No warranty; limitation of liability

Lampfold is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CiteDash Inc is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of the service or reliance on its output, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $50. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

12. Indemnity

If you use Lampfold in breach of these terms or the law and that leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable losses from that claim, to the extent the law allows.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. Courts located in Delaware have jurisdiction over disputes arising out of these terms or the service, except that either party may seek urgent injunctive relief in any competent court. If you live in the United Kingdom, the European Union, Canada or Australia, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country and may bring a claim in your local courts. Before starting a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally.

14. General

These terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Lampfold. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Not enforcing a term right away doesn't mean we give it up. You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours to a company that takes over the service, and these terms will continue to protect you.

15. Changes

We may update these terms; the effective date above will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.
