How Bible Stories works

Choose a story, a person or an event and an audience of children, youth or adults, and get a vivid retelling that stays close to the passage it comes from. The lessons are drawn out afterwards, ready for Sunday school, family devotions or a small group.

Example verses

Great stories hang on single memorable lines. These four open into whole narratives:

  • Loyal love · Ruth 1:16

And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:

  • The rainbow promise · Genesis 9:13

I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.

  • The Lord shall fight for you · Exodus 14:14

The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

  • My Redeemer lives · Job 19:25

For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:

About Bible Stories

Ask for any Bible story, person or event and choose your audience. Lampfold writes a vivid retelling for children, youth or adults, then draws out what the story teaches, ready for Sunday school, family devotions or small groups.

Each retelling is anchored to the actual passages it comes from, and the quoted verses are checked against the public-domain Bible text so the story stays faithful to Scripture. Always read the passage itself alongside it.
