Verse of the Day

A verse from an earlier day, with its reflection and prayer.

Fear not

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

Today's insight

When you face overwhelming moments, God speaks directly to your heart: "Fear thou not; for I am with thee." You do not need to walk through uncertainty feeling helpless or "dismayed," because the Lord Himself promises, "I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee." Even when your own power falls short, He commits to hold you secure "with the right hand of my righteousness."

Reflect

Where in your life today are you feeling weak or dismayed, and how might remembering that God is truly with you bring quiet courage?

Prayer

Lord, when fear tries to take hold of my thoughts, remind me that You are right beside me as my God. Give me strength where I feel weak, help me in my daily tasks, and hold me up with Your righteous right hand. Amen.
