Verse of the Day

A verse from an earlier day, with its reflection and prayer.

A clean heart

“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.”

Read in context Explain

Today's insight

Only God can bring true transformation from the inside out. You cannot scrub your own conscience clean or force your attitude to stay steady by sheer willpower alone. When you ask Him to "Create in me a clean heart" and "renew a right spirit within me," you invite Him to do the deep, restoring work that only He can accomplish.

Reflect

Where in your life today are you trying to fix your own inner motives instead of asking God to renew your spirit?

Prayer

Lord God, create in me a clean heart today. Wash away my hidden faults and renew a right spirit within me, so that my life reflects Your goodness. Amen.
