How it works: search an English word to see the original Hebrew and Greek words it translates — for example, “love” comes from agapē, phileō and ʼâhab — and every verse that uses it in the KJV, BSB or ASV. Or enter a Strong's number (G = Greek, H = Hebrew) to see every verse where that original word appears.

How Concordance works

Type an English word to find every verse that uses it in the KJV, BSB or ASV, along with the Hebrew and Greek words the King James translators rendered with it. Each original word has its Strong's number, lemma and gloss. It is built only from tagged Bible data and the public-domain Strong's dictionary, so the results are the text itself.

Example verses

Love, grace, mercy and peace are four of the most searched words. Each appears in verses like these:

  • Perfect love casts out fear · 1 John 4:18

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

  • Grace has appeared · Titus 2:11

For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

  • His mercy endures forever · Psalms 136:1

O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

  • Perfect peace · Isaiah 26:3

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
