Bible Verses About Rest

God made people to rest and invites the weary to come to Him. These verses speak of the rest Jesus gives, stillness before God and the strength He renews in those who wait for Him.

  2. Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

  3. And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.

  7. Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

  8. I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
