Verse of the Day
A verse from an earlier day, with its reflection and prayer.
Rightly dividing the word
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
Today's insight
God calls you to be "a workman" who handles Scripture with care, diligence, and reverence. When you "study to shew thyself approved unto God," your primary goal is His delight rather than human applause. By "rightly dividing the word of truth," you learn to understand and apply its message faithfully in your daily life without shame.
Reflect
In your daily choices and speech, are you seeking to be approved by God, or are you striving to impress other people?
Prayer
Lord, teach me to seek Your approval above all else. Help me to be a faithful worker who handles Your "word of truth" with wisdom, care, and integrity today. Let my life bring honor to You in everything I say and do.
