Verse of the Day

A verse from an earlier day, with its reflection and prayer.

A place prepared for you

“In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”

Today's insight

Jesus speaks with tender certainty: "In my Father’s house are many mansions," and He has gone "to prepare a place for you." You are not forgotten or left to wander without a home. His promise to "come again, and receive you unto myself" means your future is secure, anchored in the truth that you are meant to be with Him forever.

Reflect

How does knowing that Jesus is personally preparing a place for you bring peace to your heart today?

Prayer

Lord Jesus, thank You for the promise that You are preparing a place for me in Your Father's house. Help me to rest today in the assurance that You will come again to receive me unto Yourself. Keep my eyes fixed on the joy of being where You are. Amen.
