Verse of the Day

A verse from an earlier day, with its reflection and prayer.

Enter with thanksgiving

“Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.”

Today's insight

When you approach God today, you are invited to "Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise." You do not have to wonder what kind of God waits for you inside; "the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations." Whatever uncertainties this morning brings, His character remains steady and unchanging for you right now.

Reflect

What is one concrete mercy you can bring to mind today as you "be thankful unto him, and bless his name"?

Prayer

Lord, I enter Your presence today wanting to praise You from my heart. Thank You that You are good, and that Your everlasting mercy covers my life today just as it has for generations before me. Amen.
