Verse of the Day

A verse from an earlier day, with its reflection and prayer.

Stand fast in the faith

“Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.”

Read in context Explain

Today's insight

This brief charge calls you to stay alert and steady no matter what pressures surround you. To "stand fast in the faith" means holding your ground with conviction rather than drifting with every shifting circumstance. True spiritual maturity asks you to "be strong" and face today's challenges with quiet courage.

Reflect

Where in your life today are you tempted to compromise or give up ground, instead of standing firm in what you believe?

Prayer

Lord, help me to "watch" and remain faithful today. When my resolve wavers, grant me courage to "stand fast in the faith" and "be strong" in Your service. Keep my feet steady through every test I face.
