About this journey

A journey is a short, themed path through Scripture, one day at a time: a passage to read, a short reflection, a question to journal on and a prayer.

Start at day 1 and go at your own pace — your progress and private journal are saved on this device and synced if you sign in. A “Beta” tag means a pastor has not reviewed the journey yet.

Identity in Christ

The world is quick to tell us who we are — by our work, our failures or what others think. Over seven days, listen to what God says about those who belong to him: made with care, made new, loved, adopted and never separated from his love.

The days

  1. Day 1: Fearfully and wonderfully madePsalms 139:13-16God formed each person with care in the womb; his knowledge of us is intimate and complete, and our lives were known to him before they began.
  2. Day 2: A new creation2 Corinthians 5:17-21Anyone in Christ is a new creation; God reconciles us to himself through Christ, who took our sin so that we might become the righteousness of God in him.
  3. Day 3: Adopted as God's childrenRomans 8:14-17Those led by the Spirit are children of God; they have received not a spirit of fear but the Spirit of adoption, crying 'Abba, Father', and are heirs with Christ.
  4. Day 4: Saved by graceEphesians 2:4-10God, rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ by grace through faith — not by our works — and we are his workmanship, created for good works he prepared for us.
  5. Day 5: Nothing can separate usRomans 8:31-39If God is for us, nothing can ultimately stand against us; no hardship, power or failure can separate those in Christ from the love of God.
  6. Day 6: Chosen and called1 Peter 2:9-10God's people are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood and his own people, called out of darkness into his marvellous light to declare his praises.
  7. Day 7: Hidden with ChristColossians 3:1-4Believers have been raised with Christ, so they set their minds on things above; their life is hidden with Christ in God, and Christ himself is their life.
