About this journey

A journey is a short, themed path through Scripture, one day at a time: a passage to read, a short reflection, a question to journal on and a prayer.

Start at day 1 and go at your own pace — your progress and private journal are saved on this device and synced if you sign in. A “Beta” tag means a pastor has not reviewed the journey yet.

Easter: He Is Risen

Easter is not one day but a season of joy. Spend a week with those who met the risen Jesus — Mary in the garden, two friends on the road, doubting Thomas, restored Peter — and discover the living hope his resurrection brings to your life.

The days

  1. Day 1: Called by nameJohn 20:11-18Weeping at the tomb, Mary does not recognise Jesus until he speaks her name; she becomes the first witness of the resurrection.
  2. Day 2: Hearts burning withinLuke 24:25-32On the Emmaus road Jesus opens the Scriptures to two discouraged disciples, and they recognise him in the breaking of bread.
  3. Day 3: Peace be unto youJohn 20:19-23Behind locked doors, the risen Jesus stands among his fearful disciples, shows his wounds, breathes the Spirit on them and sends them out.
  4. Day 4: My Lord and my GodJohn 20:24-29Jesus meets Thomas's doubt with patience, inviting him to touch his wounds; Thomas responds with the great confession, 'My Lord and my God.'
  5. Day 5: Lovest thou me?John 21:15-19By the lake, Jesus asks Peter three times 'Lovest thou me?' — gently restoring him after his three denials and recommissioning him to feed his sheep.
  6. Day 6: Death is swallowed up1 Corinthians 15:50-58Because Christ is risen, death is swallowed up in victory; so we stand firm and know our labour in the Lord is never in vain.
  7. Day 7: A living hope1 Peter 1:3-9Through the resurrection God gives us new birth into a living hope and an inheritance kept in heaven, so we can rejoice even through trials.
